The game is set in the gloomy world, similar to the United States at the beginning of XX century. The main character named Caleb falls in love with a girl Ofelia. From her he learns about the growing religious Kaba, in which he Ofelia enters later. Caleb, Ophelia as well as two other adherents of the cult, Gabriella, and Ishmael, are elected cult. However, after a while the dark deity Chernobog, which worships the cult favorite accuses of treason, and instructs his henchman to kill them.
